returns to Marblehead Little Theatre

TNT! 2012 Registration Form

TNT!2012 – TOTALLY NEW THEATER!, a new play development retreat for playwrights produced by local playwright Shari Frost at Marblehead Little Theatre, is returning for its fourth annual explosion May 31 – June 3. The weekend will include morning workshops, free time in the afternoon to write, and an evening of ten-minute play readings (free and open to the public) on Saturday, June 2. Playwrights are invited to bring 2-3 works of varying lengths to develop. Clay McLeod Chapman a New York City based writer is returning as the program’s visiting faculty mentor.

Itinerary

Thursday, May 31 – welcome dinner
Friday, June 1 – morning workshop sessions, afternoon writing time, evening TBA
Saturday, June 2 – morning workshop sessions, afternoon rehearsals (55 min./play), evening readings
Sunday, June 3 – morning workshop sessions

Brawny Preparatory High School, home of the fighting Hippopotami and national winner of every sports award known to man, is about to be closed because it has failed to graduate a single student in its entire history! So who rides to their academic rescue? Nerds, of course. So, the frustrated nerds teach academics to the uninterested jocks, while the frustrated jocks teach athletics to the uncoordinated nerds in a series of hilarious scenes. And who wins?
