TNT 2019 – Totally New Theatre Festival

FEATURING ORIGINAL 10-MINUTE PLAYS AND STORYTELLING 

Saturday, May 25th at 8:00 pm, Marblehead Little Theater’s in-house new play festival, the TNT–Totally

New Theater! Festival, will offer original play readings by Collective members Anne Marilyn Lucas and Judith Black of Marblehead, Mary Beth Smith of Rockport, and Carlton Powers of Stoneham.

Judith Black will also perform an original story. 

Carlton Powers is serving as this year’s festival producer, taking over from Marblehead resident Shari D. Frost, who produces the year-round Collective. 

“Carlton is an insanely talented member of the Collective with a truly unique voice,” says Frost, “I am grateful to have him as a producing partner, and I can’t wait to see all he brings to this year’s festival!”

MLT, located at 12 School Street, will open its doors at 7:30pm for the 8:00pm readings. Admission to the TNT Festival is free, but there will be a suggested donation at the door.

The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever

Skyler is about to turn 12, and she’s planned the biggest celebration of the year. But in the middle of the party, something mysterious happens – all the adults suddenly vanish!

Trapped in the backyard, the kids realize they must create a brand new society. However when they elect Skyler’s older brother, Charlie, as their ruler, things really begin to spin out of control. Eventually the kids learn a big lesson in responsibility, while Skyler and Charlie develop a greater respect for one another.

Adventure of a Comic Book Artist

Everyone loves comic book superheroes.

Our cast of actors ages 7-13 will perform this wacky, action-packed spoof of the comic book genre complete with hysterical singing superheroes and dancing villains.
