Live-Band Karaoke at the VFW

Marblehead Little Theatre is excited to announce a fundraiser featuring live-band karaoke. Hosted by Lisa Fama and Christopher King

You’ve all heard of karaoke. For this event, we’ll have a live band backing you rather than prerecorded music! Formed in 2016, the In-Betweeners are an energetic and fun rock cover band, playing a mix of great songs that you love, and a whole bunch that you forgot you loved! This is a band who works hard at their craft, and their ever-evolving song list will surely keep the crowd entertained. Spanning songs from the 60’s right up through today’s hits, with a big helping of 80’s and 90’s music thrown in for good measure, this band truly has a little something for everyone!

May 2 from 7-10 p.m. at the VFW, 321 West Shore Drive, Marblehead
Advance on line tickets: $25
At the door:$30 Cash or Venmo only

For a complete list of songs available for karaoke, go to inbetweenerscoverband.com/livebandkaraoke Don’t see what you want? The form on that page can be submitted to request it. The band may be able to play it if they have enough advance notice.

The VFW will have a cash bar. Come join us for a night of fun, great music and dancing if the mood strikes you!

A New Sheriff in Town

When a Wild West theme park faces a modern rival and an unexpected bank robbery, it’s up to a scrappy young performer with big ideas to prove that honoring the past doesn’t mean fearing the future. Saddle up for a hilarious, heartfelt musical about standing your ground, rewriting the story, and embracing the spirit of the pioneer.

Join the Marblehead Museum and Marblehead Little Theatre for a Women’s History Month program celebrating SUFFS, the Tony-winning musical about the women’s suffrage movement.

March 27 at 7:00pm

Marblehead native and Tony-nominated producer Ari Conte will discuss the journey of turning the inspiring story of suffrage into a powerful Broadway musical. This event will also feature a performance from SUFFS by Marblehead High School students.

Ari Conte is a two-time Tony-nominated producer passionate about bringing women driven stories to the stage. She is a Co-Producer on the Tony Award Winning musical, SUFFS, and GYPSY starring Audra McDonald. Ari is also a performer, writer and trained vocalist. In March 2023 Ari was named one of the “Women to Watch on Broadway” by the Broadway Women’s Fund.

Ari performed in her first show 24 years ago as an orphan in Oliver! produced by Marblehead Little Theater. She enjoyed the music and theater programs provided by Marblehead Public Schools and graduated with a theater degree from Emerson College in 2015. Ari performed her own show “The Women We Carry” at Marblehead Little Theatre in 2019.

She’s very happy to be back at the firehouse, where all her theater dreams began.
