A muffin shop under renovation and one week away from grand opening. An ex-con named John (or is it Jawn, as the locals say?) A Tulane freshman named Katie (or is it Kate?). A contractor named Sonny. And a storm on the way. F’sure! (And don’t forget about the music…this is New Orleans, after all!)
“With the rhythms of N’Awlins hanging in the air, Frost brings us hearts full of love and regret. This is one storm I look forward to!” – Kate Snodgrass, Artistic Director, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre.

“Brighton Beach Memoirs”
A Review by Sheila Barth for the Theatre Mirror
(Excerpt) “Anything associated with New York wasn’t popular in the Bay State on Super Bowl weekend, but audiences at Marblehead Little Theatre’s production of Neil Simon’s comedy, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” enjoyed the warmth and laughter of this tale set in 1937 Brooklyn. The production ran Jan. 27 through Feb. 5. Actor Owen Grover, a Boston College senior portraying 15-year-old Eugene Morris Jerome, wore a New York Yankees baseball cap, and designer Andrew Barnett’s handsome, two-tiered set sported a Yankees pennant on the wall. Nobody in the packed theater cared. The props were necessary to Simon’s charming coming-of-age tale that resonates today, despite radically changed mores.” Click here for the complete review.
